CA Inter exam, also known as the Intermediate level examination of the Chartered Accountancy course, is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The exam is conducted twice a year in the months of May and November.

The CA Inter exam is divided into two groups, each consisting of four papers. Group 1 includes papers on Accounting, Corporate and Other Laws, Cost and Management Accounting, and Taxation. Group 2 includes papers on Advanced Accounting, Auditing and Assurance, Enterprise Information Systems and Strategic Management, and Financial Management and Economics for Finance.

The exam is conducted in a pen-and-paper mode, and the duration of each paper is three hours. The passing marks for each paper are 40% and the overall passing marks for the entire exam are 50%. The papers are subjective in nature, and the evaluation is done manually by experts appointed by ICAI.

Candidates who wish to appear for the CA Inter exam need to register with ICAI by filling up the registration form, paying the required fee, and completing the necessary documentation. Candidates need to meet certain eligibility criteria before registering for the exam, such as completing the CA Foundation course or holding a graduation degree in commerce or a related field.

Preparing for the CA Inter exam requires dedication, focus, and a thorough understanding of the concepts covered in each paper. Candidates can refer to study material provided by ICAI, attend coaching classes, and solve previous years’ question papers to prepare for the exam. It is important to plan and manage time effectively to cover the entire syllabus and practice writing answers within the given time limit.
