ICAI Reschedules CA Intermediate Exam May 2026 – Check New Dates
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a change in the schedule of the CA Intermediate Examination for May 2026. According to the official notification issued on 6 April 2026, the Intermediate examinations have been rescheduled across India as well as overseas centres due to unavoidable circumstances.
Candidates preparing for the CA Intermediate exams should carefully note the revised dates and updated exam schedule announced by ICAI.
Why ICAI Rescheduled the CA Intermediate Exams
ICAI issued this update as a partial modification of its earlier announcement dated 12 December 2025 regarding the May 2026 examination cycle.
Due to certain unavoidable reasons, the Institute has postponed the start of the CA Intermediate examination from 3 May 2026 to 5 May 2026.
However, the exam timings remain unchanged, and all papers will continue to be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST).
Revised CA Intermediate Exam Schedule – May 2026
Students appearing for the CA Intermediate examination should follow the updated timetable given below.

| Group II | 11th May, 13th May & 15th May 2026 |
This revised schedule applies to all exam centres in India and abroad.
Exam Timings Remain the Same
Even though the starting date has been postponed, ICAI has confirmed that the exam timings will remain unchanged:

Candidates are advised to reach their examination centres well in advance to avoid any last-minute issues.
No Change in Other CA Exams
ICAI has clearly stated that the rescheduling only affects the CA Intermediate examination.
The schedules for the following examinations remain unchanged:
- CA Foundation Examination
- CA Final Examination
- Post Qualification Course – International Taxation Assessment Test (INTT-AT)
Students appearing for these exams should continue to follow the previously announced schedule.
