Important Announcement: Stringent Action Against Candidates for Adopting Unfair Means During CA Examination
The Examination Department of ICAI has issued a stern warning and announced stringent actions against candidates found using unfair means during the Chartered Accountants Examinations.
Key Points
- Prohibited Items: As per ICAI’s policy, possession of mobile phones or any other electronic devices/gadgets is strictly prohibited inside the examination centers during Chartered Accountants Examinations.
- Incident Report: During the May 2024 examinations, several examinees were found in possession of mobile phones, with some engaged in communication via telegram groups, WhatsApp groups, and other channels. All such devices were confiscated, and reports were documented by the Examination Centre and other authorities.
- Disciplinary Action: The Examination Committee has taken a serious view of these incidents and decided to debar the involved candidates from appearing in the Chartered Accountants Examinations for the next 5 years.

Students are strongly advised to thoroughly review the “Instructions to Examinees” provided with the admit card and ensure full compliance to avoid any disciplinary actions.
